PsyBA approved Full Supervisors Training
To become a PsyBA approved Supervisor clinicians must successfully complete the PsyBA approved Full Supervisors Training. This is a three-part consecutive training package which is designed to train the participant in competency-based supervision and integrate reflective practice to supervise clinicians involved in pathways to generalist registration, higher degree, and registrar (endorsement) programs.
The three modules of the PsyBA approved Full Supervisors Training are:
- Module 1: Knowledge Assessment (online learning)
- Module 2: Skills-Based Workshop (two days) (online / in-person delivery)
- Module 3: Evaluation and Assessment (online submission)
At the conclusion of the PsyBA approved Full Supervisors Training, participants will have a holistic understanding of and the skills in competency-based supervision that integrates reflective practice, effectively preparing them for the role of Board approved Supervisor. Successful completion of each preceding module is a prerequisite to proceeding onto the next.
Once a clinician has successfully completed all three modules they are deemed eligible to seek Board approval to act as a Supervisor. Participants must send to the Board a completed ABAS-76 form and a copy of their certificate of training completed.
